The Skillnets programme supports the training of people at all levels of the business including owner/managers, staff and workers and is open to all types of business regardless of size or industry sector.

South Kerry Skillnet is funded by member companies and the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets Ltd. funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills. The South Kerry Skillnet is promoted by the South Kerry Development Partnership Limited.

  • All types of training are catered for by the Skillnet. The Skillnet can support any training that is enterprise led including facilitating members that wish to return to College part time to earn Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees, Masters Degrees and Doctorates.
  • Members will have access to funding (up to 50%) for their training and up-skilling needs.
  • Members will further benefit from the cost of training being divided among all networking companies who attend a particular training. This, coupled with the 50% funding, makes training costs very affordable for businesses.
  • Members will develop business contacts through the Skillnet network.
  • The Skillnet organises and provides relevant training programmes and courses for member businesses.
  • The Skillnet organises networking events and workshops for member businesses.
  • Training is usually delivered locally in Co. Kerry.
