The participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to safely carry out their duties as food handlers in retailing and catering premises.

Session 1 - Introduction to Primary Course in Food Safety
Session 2 - Food Contamination
Session 3 - Food Delivery & Storage

Module 2
Session 4 - Food Preparation, Cooking and Service
Session 5 - Personal Hygiene
Session 6 - Design & Layout of a Food Premises and Pest Control

Module 3
Session 7 - Cleaning
Session 8 - Introduction to hazard analysis critical control point systems
Session 9 – Exam

:: Planned Outcome

A written examination is taken a week after the final session and Certification is provided to successful participants by the Environmental Health Officer’s Association.
