One-day Workshop
The Course consists of a one-day eight hour programme with emphasis on the requirements for full compliance with Food Safety Regulations at each participant’s place of business. This course is limited to between 8 and 10 participants and concludes with a visit to the participant’s workplace within 28 days of the final session to evaluate, assist and advise on their Implementation and Training Plans.

The course is aimed at anyone working within the food business.

The participants will gain the knowledge necessary to carry out a hazard analysis on their areas of responsibility and to implement and manage a Management of Food Safety Plan for the food business they are involved with.

Module 1
Session 1 - Introduction to HACCP
Session 2 - Reading & Understanding the I.S. Standards relevant to their food operation
Session 3 - The Pre-requisite Programme
Session 4 - Drawing up an Action Plan

Module 2
Session 1 - The Principles of HACCP
Session 2 - Carrying out a Hazard Analysis relevant to their areas of work
Session 3 - Accurate Identification of the CCP’s relevant to their food operation

Module 3
Session 1 - Detailing the Controls necessary for the food operation in their area of responsibility
Session 2 - Feedback and Open Discussion


Module 4
Session 1 - Writing an Implementation Plan
Session 2 - Developing a Training Plan & Scheduling Training

There have been a number of recent changes to the Food Safety Regulations along with reviews of the published Food Safety Standards.
Many business Managers wish to know how these changes impact on their businesses and what steps they need to take to ensure full compliance.
This one-day workshop reviews and discusses the regulations from an operator’s point of view and provides answers to the common question “What do we have to have in place to satisfy an Environmental Health Officer’s inspection?”
